Been here a few times now and it's a true gem in Los Olivos which is a beautiful little town full of fantastic tasting rooms and shops. A wonderful little get away from LA when the city gets to be a little too much. I've had the peel and eat shrimp and numerous oyster varietals as well as the collar. On this past visit we showed up for happy hour and took advantage of the bottle of champagne special and the HH caviar. Holy cow! Is there a better way to spend an afternoon than tasting great wines and heading over for caviar and champagne?? I don't think there is personally! Highly recommended. Great food and great staff.

Stopped by for lunch after a wine tasting g today. The staff was fantastic and the restaurant dog friendly so double bonus! We are a half dozen oysters to split, the Caesar salad which was different from any I had had before and quite delicious and the branzino. The portions were very small but very tasty and I felt $100 was expensive for this meal. The fish was maybe 4 oz and nothing else on the plate. Also gratuity was added automatically. We don't even know how much it was. Sorry I forgot to take a photo of the Caesar. It was large leafs of lettuce with breadcrumbs. Use your imagination!

We had the most amazing time at Bar Le Cote! From the minute we walked in, all of the staff was super friendly. The interior is beautifully decorated, with a touch of elegance and fun. We were celebrating our anniversary and were treated to a splash of champagne which we loved so much we ended up getting glasses of to enjoy with our meal. We love oysters and the Pacific Gold Reserves from Morro Bay were perfection. We only ordered a half dozen but would definitely get a full dozen next time! The Day Boat Scallop Crudo was a generous portion served in a pickled sauce and a tiny crispy mushroom on top. Everything paired so nicely together. The B-L-Caesar was also a good size. I loved how it had bread crumbs in place of croutons and the Manchego was a unique twist that worked out so well. We also split the Paella Negra and Crispy Skin Branzino, paired with the Stoplman "Uni" Chardonnay. Every bite was amazing! The Branzino was tender on the inside and is coated with a thin crispy layer, topped with small bites of grapefruit and olives. We can't wait to come back and try the Dinner for Two - 7 course tasting menu. Or stop in for happy hour to get some more oysters!

Amazing restaurant! The food was unique, delicious, and satisfying. We couldn't get a table for Valentines Day, but we got seats at the counter on Sunday after. Lucky for us, we were able to get the Valentines Ray dinner for two. Which we opted for the wine pairing. It was fantastic! See the pics I posted with the review. I highly recommend this place.until next time. Cheers!

Lovely dinner here served by Erica. The appetizers were wonderful. The salad ( baby lettuce) was divine. The crispy skin sea bass had very soft skin and overly pungent raw shallots which was a bummer, but everything else was really great!

I came back last night finally for a full meal experience. The ambiance is a 10/10 the decor is delightful and it's a very welcoming atmosphere. Erika was our server and was so kind and patient with us as we navigated through the menu 10/10 for Erika!! The food was good but not as great as I expected. -We started with peel and eat shrimp which were not as good as I remember and felt very overly seasoned 6/10. -The BL Cesar was fantastic and a salad I will dream about 10/10. -The halibut was light and the tomatoes they were served with were delicious. It was however a bit over cooked and dry in some parts 7/10. -The paella dish had great flavor but the many lemons that decorated the plate felt excessive 8/10. -The chocolate dessert was amazing 10/10 the hint of spice made it a standout. I was looking for a hot tea or decaf coffee to enjoy with dessert and was sad they had neither. Overall Erika was the standout for us.

Nestled in a beautiful little town of Los Olivos. There sits a very tiny restaurant called Bar LeCote. Modern art work lines the walls w a gorgeous decorative ceiling. Glass of Rosé w delicious, light and airy and not dry. Cotes de Provence Rosé La Fouquette 2023 9/10 (Especially since I'm not a HUGE Rosé fan. B-L- Ceasar- was crispy and had a great homemade Ceasar dressing. Made w little gem romaine and crispy bread crumbs. Little bites of Salty anchovies. My Salty, savory, a nice touch of acid and FRESH. 9/10 Fried Fish Skin sandwich- (lunch menu) fish was crispy and delicious. Although the bread was a little burnt. Regardless it was tasty and the pickled onions had a great flavor. I can't really pinpoint the vinegar but I assume rice vinegar. Pickles tasted house made. In all super buttery and delicious. 9/10 Yellowtail collar- was soft and creamy. Super tender. The tartar sauce was lemony, creamy and delicious. I loved the pieces of crispy garlic. 10/10 Arroz Verde- paella style dish w pesto. Vegetarian fish. Great flavor. Rice was slightly undercooked. Flavor was delicious tho. Presentation was beautiful. 8/10 Gambas Al Ajillo- tender lemony, great amount of herbs. Shrimp tasted fresh. I love the fact they left the head. Some people get freaked out but it adds so much flavor and characteristic. 8/10 Service was amazing. Such a unique little spot w beautiful presentation. They truly value the ingredients and everything was truly enjoyable.
